Read Your Linux Agent's Result on Your Mac
Your agent has finished a result in its Linux sandbox. You are on your Mac. You still need to copy or download the file before that sandbox stops.
mountable.io is a persistent filesystem for AI agents. Mount the same filesystem in the Linux sandbox and on your Mac. In our CLI 0.6.0 checks, small-file writes, renames and deletes on an idle filesystem showed up on the other machine in under a second. That is a measurement, not a guarantee.
A small example script
passes a result from Linux to your Mac, then sends your reply back.
First, use mountable mount on both machines and wait until both mounts
are ready. Then run the script on each:
# Linux
python3 handoff.py linux /tmp/agent-work --run-id demo-4182
# Mac
python3 handoff.py mac ~/agent-work --run-id demo-4182The Mac side reads result.txt and renames it to reviewed.txt.
That tells the Linux side it was read, so Linux removes it.
Your reply goes back the same way. Each side writes its own file and waits
for the next step, so they take turns.
Try the cookbook for the setup, expected output and cleanup. It includes a run with CLI 0.8.0. The Mac guide, sandbox guide and filesystem contract cover the mounts behind it.
