The Mountable skill teaches coding agents to use Mountable with the CLI. Install it with:

npx skills add writeitai/mountable

It lives in skills/mountable/SKILL.md in the public CLI repository.

What it teaches

  • When to use Mountable: files that must outlive a sandbox, be shared between sandboxes or agents, or be handed from a backend to a sandbox.
  • Installing the CLI.
  • The two-sided workflow: the backend runs ticket create with an API key; the sandbox runs mount --ticket-stdin --json and waits for the mounted event.
  • Writing to the mount and unmounting, so pending writes are committed.
  • Error codes and how to recover from each.
  • The retry rules.
  • The limitations: Linux sandboxes need FUSE (/dev/fuse), and mounting on macOS is not yet supported in sandboxes.
