Keep Playwright Traces After the Worker Exits

mountable.io is a persistent filesystem for this Playwright recipe. The worker uploads a closed screenshot and trace, and a later process checks the same bytes.

The worker finishes. It saved a screenshot and a trace. Then it exits, and that disk is gone.

mountable.io is a persistent filesystem for AI agents. This recipe uploads the closed screenshot and the closed trace. A later process reads those same files.

Capture, then check from a new process

The Playwright guide covers the account, the key and the filesystem. From the example:

node artifacts.mjs capture \
  --filesystem "$FS_ID" \
  --run "$RUN" \
  --dir ./out

node artifacts.mjs check \
  --filesystem "$FS_ID" \
  --run "$RUN" \
  --dir ./out

The first command opens a local page we wrote, saves the screenshot and the trace, and uploads both files. The second command is a new process. It downloads those files and checks every byte.

We maintain this community example for mountable.io. It is separate from Playwright. It uses your existing account.

The browser opens only the local page in the example. The upload talks to mountable.io.
